Dec 31 2006, 9:38 AM EST You have done a good with the site...and hope us befuddled parents aren't makin it hard on ya....don't stop. Be patient with us as we navigate with our hearts. We need you guys ...you are great. I know though that if this site distracts from the mission then it is not helpful for work you are doing there. I know as a parent and CAP member that the cadets are in good hands. I have 2 sons there...and they have gone many a time to these events and I have been driver for many of these events. SO as a parent to parent I want to say ..don't worry our kids are in good hands. Keep the dialogue going parents...I myself aiming to be more encouraging through this medium. Dec 31 2006, 10:03 AM EST I heartily agree!! This encampment is an amazing experience for our cadets. That's right, our CADETS. In other words, we need to sit back and allow our incredible SER staff to do the job they have been planning and training for, for a year! I understand that we have many young 12 year old cadets, away from home for the first time. The CAP organization has numerous regulations in place, to make sure everyone is safe. Just remember, our mission as parents is to "Give our children roots, and Wings to let them Fly". 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

Dec 31 2006, 10:59 AM EST You know...the thing about the heart...we as parents have to wait...not knowing all the details. It is like physical exercise for our hearts...if you feel it squeeze a bit and skip a beat...this is just practice..lol...someday they will be out of our reach...like REAL military...they don't get to call then either. So let this time help you become stronger in letting your child/cadet grow his/her wings. The joy that comes when they fly off in the sky and you know you have done well and your heart is stronger..thanks CAP for helping my heart become the runway of love and trust as my sons fly.
